Shanghai, China — July 15, 2026 — HERTZINNO has officially launched the HZ-PS-20A Intelligent Ground Vibration Monitoring System, a solar-powered edge AI solution developed for remote oil and gas pipeline corridors, pipeline cleaning-pig operations, and protected mining areas.
The new system combines buried ground-vibration sensing, local intelligent analysis, visual verification, wireless communication, and positioning in one autonomous field monitoring platform. It is designed for locations where utility power, fixed communication infrastructure, and permanent personnel may not be available.
The HZ-PS-20A continuously monitors vibration transmitted through the surrounding soil. Its edge algorithms analyze signal characteristics and distinguish relevant field events from background interference.

The international version uses an MCU for low-power continuous sensing and an ARM platform running Linux for local analysis and event processing. It supports a vibration frequency range of 10–200 Hz, a 500 Hz sampling rate, dual 1080P cameras, 4G communication, and BeiDou/GPS positioning.
The HZ-PS-20A ground station is typically installed on a pole approximately two metres above ground. Its sensor cable is routed through the inside of the pole for a cleaner and more protected installation.
The red ground-vibration sensor is buried in the soil near the monitored pipeline or protected area. It does not need to touch, clamp onto, or connect directly to the pipeline wall.
During a cleaning operation, movement of the cleaning pig generates vibration and structure-borne acoustic signals that propagate through the pipe and surrounding soil. The buried sensor records the signal as the cleaning pig approaches, reaches the closest point to the monitoring station, and moves away.
Records from multiple monitoring points can be compared to confirm passage time, evaluate route progress, estimate speed and probable position, and identify a potential abnormal stop.
Monitoring nodes can be installed at selected high-risk sections, including road crossings, construction-prone locations, historical incident areas, and remote pipeline corridors. Edge analysis and visual verification help operators identify unauthorized excavation before buried assets are damaged.
The system provides remote passage confirmation for long-distance pipeline cleaning operations. It records signal trends and timestamps at each checkpoint, giving field teams a clearer view of cleaning-pig progress between monitoring stations.
Around selected mine boundaries and protected resource zones, the HZ-PS-20A can identify abnormal vibration associated with excavators, drilling rigs, breakers, and heavy vehicles, while cameras provide additional evidence for remote verification.
These three operating objectives use the same field hardware architecture, with application-specific event models, deployment strategies, and alert workflows.
The HZ-PS-20A uses a solar panel and low-temperature lithium battery to support unattended field operation. Its low-power monitoring mode consumes less than 30 mW, while the enclosure provides IP65 protection and supports operation from −40°C to 70°C.
Monitoring nodes do not need to be installed at fixed, uniformly dense intervals. Remote and low-population sections may use kilometre-scale spacing, while road crossings, populated areas, cleaning-pig checkpoints, construction zones, and other high-risk locations may require closer deployment based on site testing.
Through the HERTZINNO monitoring platform, operators can review node status, mapped locations, signal records, event classifications, passage history, site images, and alerts. Information can also be integrated with an existing control centre or third-party platform according to project requirements.![]()
